Marriage & Divorce - cheapened largely by celebrities.
Abortion & the sanctity of life- cheapened by premarital sex and irresponsible parents(teenagers largely. Being a teenager once myself, a teenager never comprehends the notion of you're too young! or listen to your parents! simply, i am king of my life! is this something that humanity needs to struggle with for eternity?)
Pornography is bad vs RA movies are "well rated by reviews, cool to watch, a 'passport/sign of freedom when one reaches 21'. - Why does forbidden fruit taste sweeter? Why do youth seek things that go against the norm / 'do as your parent tells you to'? Given, parents may be irrational, unreasonable at times(or even many a time) but does going against them make you more important? increase your self worth? make you feel that little bit more grown up? that little bit more of expressing yourself as an independent individual?
How sly is the devil in infiltrating our society, with things that appear seemingly harmless, yet upon reflection, is totally not of God! "Anyone who is not for me is against me!" How can watching a RA film with sexual content, excessive violence, discrimination etc be an act that glorifies God!
It's time for us to put on the armour of God! Ephesians 6. I shan't list it here..Let's all reach out for our dusty weapons, the word of God(hidden somewhere in the shelves for some), flip to ephesians(new testament..heh..heh..) and read and reflect, and make this our personal prayer, today.
And we ask this in the most Holy name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
