I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord!

Hi everyone!

It's a beautiful Tuesday morning..
"This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

Thanks for all the concern and prayers for Uncle Samy, as Fr. Joe shared in his tear-jerking sermon on Sunday, indeed it is in times like these, we see the body in Christ coming together to support each other, like the women of Jerusalem as Jesus toiled his way up Calvary.

Just to confirm clem's post and sharing on things not going well in your spiritual life all the time, similarly for myself, i'm in the midst of coming out of a spiritual valley, of not praying as much, of not being able to catch up with any quiet time(QT).. and through the support of the community, both in IHM and our new-found community of Mustard Seed Community(MSC) brothers and sisters in Christ from SFX, the deep yearning to be fully restored in Christ is stirring, and the certainty that we were made to be Holy is one that cannot be missed but almost always avoided.

For those who were there at our monday 'cg' yesterday(haha!), u may realise that i was laughing a lot as clem was relating his experiences and all, but indeed, i questioned myself too! Why laugh now when it was a really trying period.. Upon reflection, i guess the freedom(not just the physical attachment) but the spiritual freedom is just so liberating and joyous, where we no longer convince ourselves(and i was really certain that being with my ex was the best thing that could happen to me), delude ourselves, to witness the better things that God has in store for us!

Indeed, in a prophetic 'i confirm' way, as testament of God's wonder and glory, my life has never been as fulfilling, purposeful, exciting, and joyful, ever! And the fruits of these are very clear, through affirmations from friends and even personally observable! E.g. i find myself being able to laugh, and really laugh now. And the joy of the Lord is such a wonderful gift!

So Lord today, continue to reveal to us this great joy of knowing You, trusting in Your great plan You have for us, though at times we may not understand and see how the circumstance will be good in any way, But we pray that You will continue to guide us and mould us, to fulfil the purpose You created us to be, that we may then, be truly joyful and fulfilled, in Your most Holy name!

"And we know, in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." - Rom 8:28
