O Let the Son of God Enfold you

Hi everyone,

thanks Rhino No 69 for the wonderful pics. I especially love the campfire pic. Reminds me of the Fire of God in the Holy of Holies (See below) Indeed, God was definitely present in your midst that night.

In the light (pun intended) of the Marvellous Light series and jules' comment in one of the posts on being little lights to illuminate the darkness; this following flash spoke volumes to me, and encompasses my current struggles in preparing for the upcoming YES Camp. (Sorry, somehow it doesn't load up. Anyway, its the Lamplight one!) Though we step forth to serve and give, as kevin likes to say, "No one can ever outdo God in generousity!" and we end up receiving so much, so much more.

O Let the Son of God Enfold you

O let the Son of God enfold you
With His Spirit and His love
Let Him fill your hearts And satisfy your soul
O let Him have the things that hold you
And His Spirit like a dove
Will descend upon you life And make you whole

Oh… Jesus, oh… Jesus
Come and fill our lamps
Oh… Jesus, oh… Jesus
Come and fill our lamps

O come and sing this song with gladness
As our hearts are filled with joy
Lift your hands in sweet surrender To His Name
O give Him all your tears and sadness
Give Him all your years of pain And you’ll enter into life In Jesus’ Name

"Jesus, my Lord. I beg You to increase my hunger for You. Increase my capacity to love You. Help me to uncap the tight cap of my soul, that i may surrender and yield totally to You. I want to trust totally in You and Your great plans for me. Thank You for loving me. I Love You."

The flash video reminds me of a poem I read many years ago which never fails to convict me of the human ability to reject God each time I read it.

http://www.ntu.edu.sg/home/hblim/passages/table42.htm

As human beings, we struggle often with fear of rejection, from friends, from the one we are fond of but how many of us realise that it is Christ who truly knows what rejection is? To die for a people that spurned you and crucified you with their sins?

Each time we feel gripped with fear of rejection (whatever the cause), let us unite ourselves to His suffering.
