Plugging into the same power source!

Good morning all u lovely people of God!

Guess the lack of testimonies from my usual noisy self is a testament itself to my schedule in the last 2 weeks!

Nonetheless, the Lord has been sustaining me, never failing to answer my desperate pleas for help.. "Lord, that your hand be with me!" - the third line of the Jabez prayer was my often cry that the things i was to do was not humanly possible! "Lord, i can't do this?!?! It's impossible!"

Reach a target for fund raising over one weekend, our music story(for the Crossroads Rally - www.sydonline.org/crossroadsrally) filming 40 scenes for a video in one day!, me having to give a sharing/session for our biz cell on the topic of mass/eucharist.

These are just a few of the many instances when, indeed, our human intellect, feelings, being, screams a BIG "NO! You must be joking!" The prayer of Jabez's second line, "And enlarge my territory" - is a fulfilment of God wanting to give all of us more ministry! To be His hands and feet on this earth! To fulfil our purpose in this world! This is why we were made.

However, as Bruce Wilkinson puts it, to those who pray it sincerely, and experience this sudden expansion of territories, ministry, will find themselves feeling confused, worried, and even angry. I for one, was angry! Thoughts of - "Lord, u know i'm real busy now, why me again? at this time? and do what? something that i don't even know where or how to start?" came flooding in..

But as i reflected, the message was clear. "This is what you prayed for! That i would bless you! That my will be done in your life!" Indeed, why was i resisting God's will in my life? I realised that the Lord enlarges our territory to an extent, (on purpose i think...hehe..), so large, so humanly impossible, that we can't manage it on our own, that we cry out in desperation to Him, and He gladly comes to work through us. This is what was meant to be!

Who am i, a mere speck of dust, to think that enlarge my territory meant using everything i knew, had, talents to serve Him. Of course that too, but more importantly, relying on Him to provide for His ministry! Indeed, it is His work we are doing, not ours. And on second thought, i, we, are among the priviledged to be counted as worthy to stand in His presence and serve Him. (Thank you Lord!)

Oh my, there's so much to share that my thoughts are running all over the place..I guess when You experience God in a real way in your lives, evangelism becomes a natural process. When it's no longer an obligation, but a manifestation of your excitement, your passion, your enthusiasm to tell everyone u know abt this living, magnificent, REAL God, who loves everyone so much! It's like putting a hole-in-one, scoring a bicycle kick, jumping 3m on the standing broad jump mat, and then you look around excitedly and go.."DID U SEE THAT!" heh..the same level of excitement, but in this case, not abt yourself but abt Jesus!

As i end this post, lemme tell u a lil story..
Last night's homily by Fr Franz(?) was on us being a living dichotomy in our lives! On how we can pray for one hour, and lead the other 23 hours without God in our lives!! A short time of QT(if any) for God, and all the other time for our usual things. Even since the homily less than 24 hrs ago till now, so many instances of this 'split spirituality' has occured that i'm aware of!
So i was logging onto msn this morn, and i changed my nick to "No more dichotomy pls! - my source of strength is Christ alone"

And a friend of mine, msged me and said, haha! same nick! and my reply was "cos we're plugging into the same power source! =P)

Indeed, how marvellous, as different as we are, regardless of how (UP!-in clem's words) or (DOWN) we are, nothing compares to the magnificence of our God..and how we as disciples, should come to a realisation that indeed, every good thing that results, is also a gift/blessing from the Lord. The only part we play in the doing of ministry( is the undoing of what we have in mind and a surrendering to what God wants to use us to do)

"I can do all things through Him who gives me strength" - Phil 4:13 (cheers ah pun!)
