Straight From The House

On the 2nd Day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, we had the honour of visiting and then chilling out at Shaun's place all through the night!

At 10pm, observing silence and a soulful repsite from all the merry-making, Merv lead us into a beautiful prayer of love and remembrance for the less fortunate and poor - for it is clear in the Bible that the Lord's thoughts are always with the poor and oppressed (Deut 26:5-9, James 2:5).

When the clock struck Cinderella hour, then one broken bottle of champagne (thank God no champagne was spilled), and then two more broken wine glasses, and then two am, the unwavering energy of the predominantly ZJ crowd was simply amazing.

The crowd continued shuffling about the various activities interspersed throughout the House, lapping up the copious fraternity and fellowship.

Twister, Blackjack, Poker, Xbox, magic shows, circles of love mangled in deep conversations, 'falling in' for shots of liquor, devouring chicken wings and prata, Coyote Ugly, picking up shattered glass shards from the floor, holding our bladders and queuing up for the only toilet.

All through the night.

Phew.

Thanks Shaun for the wonderful party...! This photo collage is especially for you, and of course to all the friends who helped made the party preparations smooth, and also for all of you who turned up with your smiles! :)

What time did the party start? 6pm. What time did the party end? 9am the next morning, when the last guests officially said a drowsy 'Goodbye' and 'Thank You' to Shaun, and his momma, papa, and sista.

And that's the way we are.

We pray hard, and we play equally hard!

Unbrakeable!
