Inspiration from a broken LCD screen

I just broke my small LCD screen on my phone which is about a month old. And there i was, sitting down in the NUS library, feeling so irritated with myself, thinking,

"Why Clement? Why must you sit like an elephant and crush your phone into the arm-rest of the chair? Why can't you be more careful? IDIOT, Clement... you bloody IDIOT!!!"
What my phone doesn't look like now...

Then as usual, in the soft whisper and prompting, i feel a sense of calm, the calm that only the Spirit of God can give. And He says,

"For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,
but those who are according to the Spirit,
the things of the Spirit.
For the mind set on the flesh is
death,
but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace..."

- Rom 8:5-6

And then... i'm stunned... speechless... the self-bashing stopped... and all is silent... and i know i've been too concerned with these peripheries of life... all i need to do is to thank God everyday for all He has provided, and concern myself with His will.

Thank you Lord. You make all things bright and beautiful.
