UNBRAKEABLE

Mario came up with a brilliant motto for the rhinos this week. Seriously, sometimes i do wonder where do all his brilliant and "unique" punchline ideas come from. Anyway, back to the point. He said that the rhinos are "unbrakeable" - a pun in both the sound and the word itself (for those who don't get it... unbreakable and unbrakeable).

Anyway, i did reflect about it and it dawned on me that this unbrakeable streak in us is impossible without the the impetus of the Holy Spirit. It is humanly impossible to continue serving the Lord, building His kingdom and loving His people and His ways through human passion and endeavour alone.

The fact of the matter is that we all burn out eventually. But i'll always remember what a good friend once reminded me when i was really really very tired and my forces were spent last year:

"They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength,
they will soar as with eagles' wings;
They will run and not grow weary,
walk and not grow faint."

- Isaiah 40:31

So yeah, a poignant reminder of again with reference to the Jabez prayer - "that Your hand may be upon me" - because it is only through the Holy Spirit that we, mere mortals and specks in the vastness of God's creation, become His daughters, sons and heirs, drawing near to Him, hearing His voice and doing His will.

On a more relack kinda note, it's also not exactly true that we are "unbrakeable". We did take a few days off for CNY, although i sorta feel guilty about it... so yeah... need to remember that an idle mind is the devil's playground... so let's always fix our minds on Christ.
