Living out Acts 2 and the Jabez prayer
It's been such a rollercoaster week. From the plateau of the mundane routines of schoolwork (or trying to start doing schoolwork), to the shock and disappointment due to some of the problems that have cropped up due to the rally, and back to the realisation that in the resolution of all supposed the "crises" within the community... Wah... God is good!!
But better still... God is constantly showing me that life in Him is never mundane. Not only does He continue to draw His community of believers to Himself, He also acts as a bridge to join different communities to join each other! For the past few weeks, no.7 and I have been meeting up with our brothers and sisters from SFX, Nativity and NUS CSS for weekday masses at Holy Cross. Not only that... other than breaking bread together at the Eucharistic table, He has led us to break of ourselves and share with each other our lives over meals on Monday nights at Clementi Central. He's really reminding us that, as Uncle Gerard Francisco has been saying lately, that we are living in New Testament times again.

"They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life,
to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers...
Everyday they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area
and to breaking bread in their homes."
Acts 2:42, 46
So life in the Spirit is really really exciting! And yes, He is also constantly blessing us with all the good things He intends for us. INDEED, He is blessing all of us even NOW!! Thank You Lord for all the wonderful things You have in store for us, for placing Your hand upon us! Lord, teach us to be the correct disposition to receive Your blessings, to hear Your word, and to enlarge Your territory everywhere as You would have us do! AMEN!!!

you know what, clem? you are absolutely right! it never fails to amaze me as we enter the Mystery of God that the Gospel unfolds itself in our lives - somehow the essence of living as Christ lived becomes our very own existence.
as for frustrated work/projects, i commiserate. was terribly annoyed yesterday at how stupid my writing was going and getting anxious+obsessive. had to remind myself (again!!) that God works through my limitations and since He got me to do what He willed, then I just have to do my best and surrender. There's just no counting how all the unforeseens can come mess up our nicely-mapped out plans, I say! our God has a really warped sense of humour sometimes... harrumph...
things will sort themselves out (with a lot of hard work on our part) but they will come through. hang in there!
yuppy doo, xl.
