up against the wall
Do you know the feeling of being up against the wall? When physically, your stupid body is failing you; when spiritually, you're raring to go, excited about the prospects of what God is going to enact in the lives of you community; and emotionally, you're trying to keep things together, knowing that whatever feelings you have for people around cannot make you limp around like a whiner, and when there are others who share their emotional burdens with you and you have to stay strong for them?
I'm just tired... physcially. The fever is catching up on me... the late nights have taken their toll... and I know that the evil one is trying to prevent something brilliant from happening this Sunday at the Baptism of the Spirit.

So Lord, help me keep faith in You.
That in all things, You are pre-eminent.
That nothing can stand in the way of Your goodness
Which You intend to shower upon Your people.
Lord, may my physical ailments be penance for the community
That through this process of purification of mind, heart and body
You may increase exponentially in our lives
As we diminish and recede.
