Baptism By Water

Just as how Jesus and His disciples retreated away from the crowds to seek silence and solitude (Mark 4:35-36), I was feeling tired from all the noise, hustle and bustle of activities around me too and retreated to a quiet place in prayer to seek the peace of God. And here is to share with you what i experienced, translated to a poetic form...

Baptism By Water

Thus did I by the Water’s brink,
Sipping my daily morning’s drink.
Another swift across the surface blinked
Into the lofty skies above soared;
Looking up the sun’s rays began to roar
And I wondered whence my Lord would call.

Wearied from an approaching human form,
Did I caw and flapped my wings to perform
The drying of dew heavy on my uniform.
O but ruined by a gale too potent
Did I stumble into the Water’s potions.
Nay, no torment nor struggle did I bear,

But in the shadows of the Water’s depths
Did I find my Lord’s virtuous precepts.
